Rachel Santiago first meets Nathan Bravante, a gay man and the younger son of both Lorenzo Bravante and Veronica Delos Santos-Bravante. They eventually married and had two children and soon their marriage began to falter when Nathan's family had mistreating Rachel while defending their own son from her accusations to him. The reason Nathan mistreats Rachel during their marriage is because he hides his sexuality from his parents since his father Lorenzo had been threatening him while he was younger due to his wrong interpretation about him and all he has in mind was, he was a woman inside of a man's physicality when he tried to make-up himself and wearing any dresses. He made a disguise from himself under the name of Catriona where he started dating with a foreign man named Daniel Lindberg until Rachel succeeds in convincing David that Nathan is her husband. That rejection caused Nathan to get angered over his wife's actions. Nathan also sets up to faked his own death by kidnapping their daughter Nicole and to blow up the yacht he was currently riding on. Nathan later meets Krissy, the head of transgender group and a cosmetic surgeon leads him to undergo sexual reassignment and facial surgery to another country. His faked death leads him to leave his family behind with the exception of his older sister, Allison Bravante and Nathan changed his name to Venus Hermosa so that no one knows his real identity. Years later, Rachel has a rivalry with Venus with just one man named Gavin Corpus, one of David's friends. Only both David and Gavin's mother Sarah Corpus know Venus's real identity which leads her to become a deranged and a very desperate woman that can kill anybody in her way. She nearly kills David by hitting in the car and puts him hospitalized in a comatose state as well as murdering Sarah by smacking on her head with one floor tile and pretending herself she was a victim from an accident during her hospitalization. All of Venus's actions including to save his younger son Kyle by giving her donated blood leads Rachel to investigate about her even her mother Lupita who noticed Venus as as a transwoman and not an actual woman. After learning of Venus's real identity, Krissy allows her to stop the wedding between Venus and Gavin and convincing Gavin that Venus is tricking her and she was a former male while telling him that marrying with the same sex was also not valid. With the help of her brother, David Santiago by giving a file where she gets the hormones as a former male, they succeeded in convincing Gavin the truth, leading him to leave the altar, much to Venus's upset and blaming Rachel for her misfortunes. Gavin was also angrily frustrated after learning the truth about Venus being a former male. After the wedding was halted, Venus wanted to bring Gavin back from her, but was stopped by Krissy knowing of her horrible actions and her selfishness and stating that he had created a monster, and the two had a brawl and calls her ingrata. Despite Venus left to see Gavin, Krissy is able to contact him to learn him about the truth which Gavin finally rejects her on time since he had finally learned of Venus's real identity as a man and all he can see from Venus was both lies and deception and he will never forgive her for what she did to him. While visiting David's hospital room where both Venus and Rachel had a fight because of Krissy and eventually learns from her that Venus is in fact her former husband Nathan. With Krissy's revelation about Nathan, Rachel decided to expose Venus as Nathan to his family, much to the latter's anger. She eventually succeeds to inform Lorenzo and his family about Nathan where he faked his death and even turned into a woman via sexual reassignment and facial surgery. Veronica finally asks Venus if she was Nathan which she confirms but her husband Lorenzo would never believed. As Rachel and her relatives leave, Allison reveals to her parents that Venus is Nathan knowing that they wouldn't accept his sexuality because it will cause shame to their family reputation. Veronica angrily slaps Allison to the face stating that she was hurt for making secret about the truth until Lorenzo strictly ridicules Venus. Venus reveals herself of her real identity as Nathan to his family and as a transwoman while displaying his anger and deep hatred to his father Lorenzo who soon slaps her in the face. Venus angrily leaves with Mela after he told her father that he can no longer get hurt by him any longer and to the sadness of her mother Veronica and her older sister Allison. After Rachel's exposure to her real identity and Gavin who finally forgives her and no longer sided with her, Venus angrily wants to make Rachel pay for her misfortunes. Despite the catfight and Gavin defends her, she tells him that Venus was her former husband Nathan, Venus was clearly upset while berating Gavin for the enjoyment of her body which leads them to get punched equally and soon getting beat up by Gavin for abandoning Rachel and to kidnap her children stating that she was the worthless human being. Venus was emotiinally sad and upset when most people just sees her real identity more than being a woman herself and Rachel convinces him that a lot of gay men like her can do the right thing and allowing her to set him free if he does not like her. But Venus does not given up and wanted to take her down. Just as they visited David at the hospital who is now awakened from his coma, he finally informs them both about Venus and her real identity and Gavin eventually learns that his mother Sarah died because of Venus. When Lorenzo remained unconvinced and not accepting Venus as his flesh and blood, Veronica realized about her and her husband's mistakes. Due to the mistreatment to Rachel in the beginning, they never realized Nathan's sexuality as a gay man and thinking that their son was a straight man to maintain their family reputation but they ruined when he hides his sexuality from them. Allison convinces her mother to find Venus which they succeed when they found her and Mela until she became hostile and went desperate measures by kidnapping Rachel's children to lure Rachel. Venus succeeds in luring Rachel, leads her to get kidnapped and taking hostage with a gun on her hand. Despite Gavin and both his mother and sister negotiate her, Rachel eventually convinces Venus that he was still Nathan and as the father of his two children. She also does not wanted her children to see their father had became a transwoman. Venus eventually realized all of the wrongdoings she had done especially to Rachel and his own family, she frees her and attempts to commit suicide because they couldn't accept her for who she is. Just as she fell off the cliff, she was saved by both Rachel and Gavin and later Lorenzo to help her climb back up. Lorenzo formally apologizes to Venus for the wrong interpretation he had said to him when he was younger that leads him to hide his sexuality as well as accepting for who he was as a gay man which she emotionally accepts his apology and was reunited with his family. After the incident, both Venus and Mela are serving time in life imprisonment for their various crimes while Gavin and Rachel are sharing their horrible experiences while visiting the grave of his mother Sarah. Krissy and the other members of a transgender group had watched the news announcement of the Bravante family about their son Nathan who is now a transwoman named Venus was convicted of any crimes and also accepting her as a family. After reuniting with her friends and family in prison, Venus was interviewed in the show about her life and her horrible misdeeds as a transwoman as well as how she was accepted by her family and stating that she was the real 'woman'. The next scene shows the wedding of David and Tina Santos at the beach and Rachel was visited by Gavin by giving her a bouquet of flowers, giving him a second chance which she accepts.
