Artikulo 247 is a 2022 Philippines television drama legal crime series broadcast by GMA Network. It stars, Rhian Ramos, Benjamin Alves, Mark Herras, Kris Bernal and Mike Tan. This story is about Mary Jane "MJ" Ortega an accountant who later became a frustrated homicide victim with her assailant Klaire Almazan-Gomez who got away due to Article 247 of Revised Penal Code. MJ later encounters Klaire once again after she and her boyfriend and renagade lawyer, Julian Pineda had faked their deaths from a car accident under disguised as Carmen Dela Rama to do the same modus scheme as her late husband Alfred Gomez towards her new husband, Elijah Borromeo, leading her to fight for justice. The story is about Mary Jane "MJ" Ortega, a new accountant being hired by Alfred Gomez in his family business. She also meets Alfred's wife, Klaire Almazan-Gomez who is responsible for bullying her during her work duties. MJ was the one who found out about Klaire's infidelity with another man. Although, Klaire warns MJ about this secret affair with a man who happens to be her current boyfriend and renegade lawyer, Julian Pineda as her business investor when she speaks to her privately. Despite warning MJ for her infidelity, she was caught by Alfred after hiring a private investigator to investigate his wife and also proves that MJ was right. Upon getting home and meeting up with Klaire, he angrily reprimands her for her infidelity and Klaire foolishly tries to feign innocence for her cheating, thinking that Julian was her investor but Alfred never listens to her anymore and was taken out of the house, leading her to go to Julian after Alfred had found out their true motives. It reveals that both Klaire and Julian had their current modus operandi in which Klaire siphons the money of rich people when she is married to that certain rich man despite she already has a boyfriend and she takes for themselves. Klaire is later desperate to convince Alfred into her whim but was not heeded and Alfred decided to file an annulment, much to her horrible shock and tells her to get out of his life. As soon as she gets out of the office, she personally made a catfight with MJ, blaming her for her misfortunes and mistook her as Alfred's mistress. Klaire even throws things on MJ, Alfred defends her and was hit. Due to Klaire's terrible behavior and blaming anyone else for her mistakes, she was sent out by the guards. Once his annulment papers was in progress, he begins to have a relationship with MJ, but was disrupted by Klaire which she tried to kill them both and Alfred dies, saving MJ's life. During most hearings, Klaire is able to escape her crimes due to the use of Article 247 Revised Penal Code, much to MJ's displeasure and Klaire also succeeds in stealing Alfred's huge sum of money from his personal bankcase. They made the last handicap catfight when MJ is sided with her mother Rose and Julian takes Klaire away. Their car eventually fall into bridge and was crashed below and they are presumed dead. Months later, MJ now works as an accountant in the fictional resort in El Paraiso and she meets Noah Borromeo who is a drunkard. It reveals that Noah loses his fiancee Tanya from a bike accident which she was thrilled to bike on a downhill within the mountains but causes a freak accident by hitting a rock at the back of the head which leads to her death upon taking her to the hospital. MJ did her best to make Noah moved on with his late fiancee which she succeeds. Despite getting friendly between them, MJ encounters Noah's older brother Elijah Borromeo and their mother Sarah Borromeo and Elijah's now current wife Carmen Dela Rama. MJ realizes that Klaire is alive and all along she faked her death. It reveals that Klaire and Julian had survived the car accident and they undergo in a different identity and their current modus scheme remain unchanged as Klaire siphons the money from every businesses within the resort itself owned by the Borromeos which happens to be their recent victim after the late Alfred Gomez. Klaire as Carmen will do what it takes to taint MJ's life and job by manipulating the Borromeos into against her. Unaware of her manipulations, Elijah is also being targeted by Klaire's actions into thinking he was onto MJ, which led a massive fight with Noah and Julian poses as Kristoffer being Carmen's business investor. As soon as Elijah had finally investigated his wife Carmen and her real identity as Klaire Almazan-Gomez causing his decision to tell MJ the truth. As soon as both are discussing about Klaire and her true motives, she personally confronts them both by gunpoint and coerce them into getting close together against their will. When Klaire attempts to kill MJ, Elijah saves her from getting shot, much like how the late Alfred did for her. Before dying from his gunshot wounds, Elijah barely awakens at the hospital and tries to tell Noah since he never believes MJ due to Klaire's lies and manipulations, he ask him to give a pen and paper to inform him that MJ was telling the truth and his wife Carmen was in fact Klaire. Noah finally faces Klaire for killing his older brother and tells the authorities to arrest her and no longer listens to her lies and Sarah arrives and learning that Klaire has been tricking them the whole time. Elijah dies after he wrote about the truth and Carmen's real identity and both Sarah and Noah mourn over his loss. They later apologizes to MJ for not listening in their deaf ears and they learned the truth about Klaire and Sarah knows that she had never loved her son Elijah and all she cares about was the money. She did all she can to put her behind bars to pay for her crimes. Upon a new hearing case, the Article 247 Revised Penal Code is no longer used and finally determines MJ's real evidence to the court and Klaire was sentenced a penalty for reclusion perpetua, much to her horrible shock and dismay. However, she escapes with Julian when he set a detonating device in one of the cars to prevent her from taking her to the Correctional Jail for women. It was later revealed about Klaire and her past where her own father Mr. Almazan had murdered both her own mother and the man she had cheated with and also managed to escape from his crimes using the Article 247 Revised Penal Code and soon committed suicide after he tells his daughter to do this in order to survive. She had been working with Julian since as Julian was expelled from any law firms, leading him to become a renegade. Klaire also uses the name Carmen Dela Rama as way to pose herself as her who died from getting murdered and using two people as a way to pose as Carmen's parents. Both of them are also arguing over losing money and Klaire is unable to access Elijah's bank accounts due to Sarah's orders from their bank. Despite getting the money when Julian is able to win a gamble, they were caught by both MJ and Noah. However, both Klaire and Julian had betray themselves just for the money and Klaire is unable to kill Julian due to her feelings for him. They had kidnapped MJ in order to get money and they freed her once they got it. MJ manages to injure Klaire during their catfight. Following the incident, both MJ and Noah are about to get married, but to their dismay that most of their friends including their mothers Sarah and Rose are abducted. It reveals that Klaire is able to survive her injuries and managed to escape the hospital. In a last ditched effort, Klaire attempts to kill them by burning with chunks of wood and escapes the premises with Julian is with her after she takes the Pinctada from MJ being given to her by Sarah. But MJ and all others managed to get free and soon reunited with the authorities. Klaire and Julian's successful efforts were short-lived since they are about to leave the Philippines for Malaysia to escape, they abducted MJ once again which causes a car chase. MJ is able to fight Klaire inside the car in which she manages to get out and Klaire berates her for being stupid and she will be killed if she gets out. However, they are cornered by the authorities by gunning them down and Julian is losing his car breaks and Klaire screams in agony causing their car to crash. In the aftermath, Julian barely survives from the crash and was taken in a hospital arrest while Klaire is dead due to her heavy injuries on her head and her corpse are coated with her blood from the crash site and both the Ortegas and the Borromeos are relieved to see Klaire is now dead. Both MJ and Noah had eventually get married and MJ is now pregnant for their first child and they live a normal life within their family resort.
