Abot-Kamay na Pangarap (transl. The Dream Within Reach) is a Philippine television drama medical series broadcast by GMA Network. The series is based on the 1996 film of the same title. Directed by L.A. Madridejos, it stars Carmina Villarroel and Jillian Ward. It premiered on September 5, 2022 on the network's Afternoon Prime and Sabado Star Power sa Hapon line up replacing Apoy sa Langit. This long running afternoon drama series focuses on the lives of both Lyneth and Analyn Santos who is actually the biological daughter of Joselito Robert "RJ" Tanyag, a medical director of APEX medical center. Analyn seeks to alleviate her financial issues and help her illiterate mother, Lyneth. Luckily, she gets a scholarship to medical school due to her brilliant mind and strives for a better life. She later became one of the resident doctors in APEX and becoming a prodigy doctor in neuro surgeon. Throughout the whole season after learning of RJ's infidelity, Moira became more evil and wanted to rid both Lyneth and Analyn out of their lives however when her dirty secrets are exposed, she was willing to kill anybody. It was notably bashed by most viewers despite they get high ratings on the show because of the story plot was not focusing on the main heroines in the story but mainly focus on the main villainesses who succeeded in their evil plot and silenced anyone of exposing the secret of Zoey's true self as the daughter of Moira Rutaquio Tanyag and Carlos Benitez who is the medical director of Eastridge and to covering up their various crimes spree involving their dirty secrets. As soon as Carlos is no longer the director of Eastridge after exposing his real behavior for his obssession to Lyneth and his heated rivalry with Robert. Despite Moira's exposure for causing an accident on Robert to suffer amnesia and being arrested and serving crimes in prison, she was assisted by her mother Chantal Rutaquio who devise a plan by faking her death and to disguise herself as her younger-half sister, Morgana Rutaquio "Nushi G" Go and the original Morgana gave her DNA for her cover up. After the introduction of the Rutaquios who's plan is to take over APEX, they are also the ones who made Zoey's misfortunes such as the assasination of her boyfriend Dax caused by her father Carlos and the abortion of her baby caused by her grandmother Chantal and she angrily blames Analyn for her misfortunes. Despite Morgana's bodyguard Gilbert accidentally killed their mother Chantal during the scuffle with Robert's older sister, Giselle Marie Tanyag, the original Morgana had decided to set things right by exposing her older half-sister's continuous misdeeds and her half-niece Zoey who was briefly made as the head of APEX. During the costume ball made by them, Analyn is the first person to expose both of them which they denied and Morgana literally exposes her half-older sister who is revealed to be one who tries to eliminate her with her goons as her own goons had subdued them to outsmart her. And Giselle also reveals the real DNA results between Zoey and Moira, confirming they are familial between mother and daughter and Gabby exposed her for changing her appearance. This exposure causing both of them to escape even she shot Giselle who shields her to save her niece Analyn. Despite they were hiding for their crimes, Carlos also admits that he killed Dax because he was a criminal, which angers Zoey and soon tell her that someone asked him to kill him. Unaware to Zoey that her father is suffering the symptoms of schizophrenia which is why he is able to speak Dax's spirit by hallucinations. When all three are hiding at the private house, Olga reveals to Zoey that it was not Analyn's fault for her misfortunes but her beloved mother Moira was responsible for ordering her grandmother Chantal to abort her unborn child from Dax and also the one who ordered her father to kill Dax as Carlos reveals it to her. Zoey was angered at her mother's actions which she did this for her own good and Zoey was mad that Moira had destroyed her own dreams to have a family and noticing that she cares more for herself than her own family, she denounces herself that she is no longer sided with her, much to her sadness and Carlos had watched their commotion. When Moira was arrested due to being trapped by Zoey's entrapment, she gets her final revenge when she was saved by her goons who ambushed the police car she was in and soon infiltrates APEX for hostage taking. All of her revenge plans were thwarted afterwards when the black ops from the PNP had arrived to rescue the patients and staff. Lyneth had a brief catfight with Moira after she was taken by her and attempting to bomb this place. But fails when the black ops had succeeded to diffuse the explosive devices. Lyneth immediately injects her with anesthisa to make her immobilized causing her to escape and was found by Robert. Moira states that she won't lose but it was too late when the explosive device is ticking soon forgives herself for being a bad mother to Zoey as it exploded to her death. Analyn at first crying in anguish over losing her parents but was overjoyed that her parents were alive. Following Moira's death, Zoey decided to be taken in custody as an accessory to her mother's crimes and Robert decided to make a proper funeral for her. In the ending, Zoey serves as a prison doctor at prison while serving time in life imprisonment and was met by her younger half-brother Harry Benitez, one of Analyn's suitors. Analyn's childhood friend Reagan finally graduated in college. Carlos was revealed to be treated at the mental asylum due to his suffering from schizophrenia, other of Analyn's co-workers are now living their different lives. Analyn finally fulfilled her dream as a full-fledged doctor and she was married to a Korean doctor named Kim Young who is the last suitor to court her throughout the episodes as her parents Lyneth and Robert are now married and living their normal lives off-screen. Analyn witness the same little girl who needs help and to give her advice to fulfill her dreams much like she did when she was younger in the beginning and the story ends woth Analyn continued to work as a doctor since her dream job was finally fulfilled.
